Singaraja & Gitgit Water Fall Tour

Singaraja tour is the former captial of Bali. Its a city with hosptials, pharmacies, various banks, and many markets where you can be impressed with colors and smells of Balinese food. Singaraja is home of the Gedong Kirtya library, maintaining the famous lontar manuscripts and much Balinese literature. The harbour of Singaraja shows signs of Dutch colonialism with its old storage houses.

The old Dutch capital of Bali during the colonial era, Singaraja is a quiet town with some quaint old Dutch warehouses on the waterfront. It’s easily reached from the south via Bedugul or Kintamani or from Candidasa in the east. There is some accommodation here but you would be better to stay at the nearby Lovina Beach only a few kilometers to the west. Lovina has had a recent spruce up and the gravel beach is now pristine clean. The town has plenty of accommodation from basic to good quality and some adequate restaurants.

Taman Ayun Temple
Pura Taman Ayun was built in 1634 by the Raja of Mengwi, I Gusti Agung Putu. It is a socalled 'Pura Kawiten' or family temple, a special temple where the deified ancestors of the Raja Dynasty of Mengwi and important gods of other temples are honored. Taman Ayun literally translates as "beautiful garden' and is generally regarded as one of the most attractive temples of Bali. Taman Ayun is situated in a beautiful park with trees and ponds, near the village of Mengwi in the south of Bali at about 8 km southwest of Ubud and 18 km northwest of Denpasar.
Candikuning Market
Candi kuning traditonal market is located in Tabanan regency and it is about one hour from Denpasar, there will be curvy road stretching from Baturiti until Bedugul, it will be a challenge for you to settle your stomach. Candi kuning traditional market is very popular for foreign travelers and domestic. There are a lot of exotic flowers plants like delicate orchids and roses, vegetables, spices include nutmeg, pepper, paprikan turmeric and so on, fresh local fruits, and art shops in this market.
Ulun Danu temple
Ulun Danu temple is one of the most popular tour visit when a sight seeing tour is organized to visit Bedugul Mountain resort or Singaraja tour. The location is on the west bank of lake Beratan. The name Ulun Danu, literally means " the beginning of the lake" But this might not to claim that the site is the beginning of a lake. It tends to indicate that everything that exists around the lake will have the orientation to the temple site, and cleanliness around the area must be continuously kept.
Gitgit Water Fall
A visit to the waterfall at Gitgit should be on every tourist's list. It is about nine kilometres from Singaraja towards the south. Although the winding road is steep and you have to walk the last part, it is accessible by car or motorbike. You can park your vehicle at a parking lot on the Denpasar to Singaraja road from where you can see the waterfall. To get closer, you will need to walk. The path can be considered in two halves. The first part is a stepped concrete path bordered by trees and shrubs on one side and a myriad of colourful shops on the other.
Lovina Beach
Lovina Beach is located about 10 km to the west of Singaraja, right on the main coast road that will take you all the way around the island. It’s more an area than a distinct destination, really being comprised of the small towns of Kalisasem, Temukus, Kalibukbuk, Anturan, Tukad Mungga and Pemaron. This is a much more quiet stretch of coastline, and don’t come looking for the active clubbing scene or wall-to-wall shopping of other parts of Bali. The beaches in Lovina tend to be of a black, volcanic sand, and you won’t find huge sprawling expanses of sandy beach that you have on other parts of the island.
Hot Spring
The sacred hot springs 'Air Panas' of Banjar are set in the midst of the jungle in a beautifully landscaped tropical garden, close to Lovina Beach, and it consist of three public and one private pool. The sulphuric water is of volcanic origin and has an agreeable warm temperature of 37 degrees Celcius, ideal for people suffering from rheumatic diseases. The hot spring water gushes from the mouths of eight stone carved naga (mythical, dragon-like creatures) into the oblong shaped upper pool. From the upper pool the water overflows from the mouths of five more nagas into the largest of the three pools, which is square shaped and situated at a lower level.
Munduk village
With a population of 6,200 people, the village of Munduk has a rich history. Legend tells that it was settled by people from the mountains who were escaping an invasion of ants. Several clans then moved from Klungkung to resettle in Munduk Village 200 to 300 years ago. This was the portal through which the vizier of the Majapahit Kingdom in East Java penetrated to South Bali. History repeated itself when the Dutch expanded their colonial empire from Java to Bali. They too reached South Bali through the Village of Munduk, and subsequently used it as a mountain retreat from the administrative capital of Singaraja.
Tamblingan Lake
Tamblingan Lake is a lake located in the plateau area with green hill surrounded.in Sukasada Village, Buleleng Regency. It’s about 21 km south of Singaraja City. Tamblingan lake located in a very strategic area, which is between Lovina Beach, Ulun danu beratan temple and also Gitgit waterfall. With mount Lesong as it’s background this lake offer a very nice experience if you wish to visit. It is situated adjunction to Buyan Lake with cool weather. It has the fascination where the nature authenticity can be felt and the inexistence of motorized boat here. These beautiful lakes can be seen from the top hill right from Asah Gobleg Countryside.
